Thanks so much for sharing. I do not think anyone could get through one sentence with out tears. Jason adn I were reading the worldwide leadership broadcast and thought of you and other adoptive mothers we know. Here is a thought that stuck with me. Sister Beck I know of many couples who desire to have children and aren't given that blessing. Their challenge is the challenge of not having children, and we need to be listening and supportive and encouraging toward them. And I also believe that the desire to have children in the single sisters and in these couples probably won't go away if they're righteous, because that is a God-given desire. It speaks to their very natures and the training they received in the heavens. So that longing will not go away. But the Lord will bless them. I will never know the depth of everything that you and your husband have had to endure, nonetheless, being an adopted child myself, there is a great love in my heart for you and your family. I know that the Lord will continue to bless you and your family.
I really appreciated this article! It was very nice to be able to read from all of the perspectives. I have such a strong testimony of adoption! Our lives have been blessed so much! I know that yours has, too!
"Everywhere in nature we are taught the lessons of patience and waiting. We want things a long time before we get them, and the fact that we wanted them a long time makes them all the more precious when they come." ~Joseph F. Smith
"Childbirth is an act of nature but Adoption is an act of God. I guess you could say we're believers and we have a Miracle to prove it."

“Adoption is not a breaking of trust but a keeping of faith… not the abandonment of a baby but an abandonment of self for a baby’s sake.”
